Canadian Heritage Seekers

Metal Detecting Club

The Canadian Heritage Seekers is a metal detecting club, established in 1980, which operates in the Niagara Region in Ontario.

Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, except July and August, at 7 p.m.  at the Niagara Boating Club, 4649 Lyons Creek Rd, Chippawa. (Meetings in January, February and March are held weather permitting.)

Guests are welcome to attend.

At each meeting, the club votes for the Best Finds of the previous month. Members can enter one item each of the 6 categories: Gold, Silver, Coin, Costume Jewelry, Relic, Other – so bring your best finds from the last month of metal detecting to display.

NEXT MEETING: Aug. 7, 2024

MEMBERS ONLY BEACH HUNT:

Waverly Beach, Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. (Rain date: July 20)

Headphones are required to hunt in this event. Make sure that your detector is in working order and your batteries are up to par.

Save everything you find because you never know what might be a prize. I am bringing a pail so that any scrap metal that we might find will be given to Jarek for our scrap collection.

Would appreciate any clad/foreign coins to be put out on the hunt field. Any donations of prizes would also be appreciated.

There will be 2 hunts for the day. The first a small fun hunt and then the larger main hunt.

Doughnuts will be supplied. There will be the usual items “planted” 10 special items for prizes, some prizes donated and some purchased by the club, cash prizes, silver planted and given out as prizes, Easter eggs with prizes inside and a few surprises as well.
